Christmas in the Philippines

What a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, by being able
to serve Him as we serve our mission in the Philippines! Christmas Eve was fun as we
took little packages of carmel popcorn and cookies to our security guards at our
Pioneer Tower Apt. They were very appreciative.
Elder and Sis. DuPaix with several of our security guards.
They keep very close eye on us!
Elder and Sis. Bailey came down with gifts! Mixed nuts! The very best!!!
Our Senior Missionary Zone was invited to Pres. and Sis. DeLaMare's for Christmas dinner!
We always love being together! Afterward we played and game and chose "Gold Elephant"
gifts. We all brought something that we would want to take home! The native rainsticks
were the most sought after gifts!
Finally, Christmas Morning arrived! Thanks to our kids and good friends,
we had fun surprises under the tree!
We gave each other these cute Christmas Stockings and Santa even found us and
filled them with goodies! Notice the framed picture behind us. That is where we
displayed all our Christmas cards and letters from home! Thanks for remembering us!
This beautiful handmade Philippine quilt was a very special gift that we gave to ourselves!
Of course, we had to have some tourist T-shirts from Cebu! Thanks family for taking
good care of us! We love the clothes, candies, food, pictures, notes, and all the surprises
that you sent! Our special gift was getting to skype with our kids!
